The cover for indie also-rans Spearmints 1999 debut album has just won an array of artwork and sleeve design awards including 'the album sleeve innovation award', 'best use of transport' and the coveted 'greatest album cover of all time'.
The Ryanair Inflight Magazine Greatest Album Sleeves of All Time Award Ceremony, which featured a double page spread in this months publication, awarded three figure-selling 'A Week Away' 10 artwork awards in total.
When asked if whether the plane on the front of the design had helped the judges in their decision, a spokesman for Ryanair claimed that they "hadn't really noticed".
Spearmint, who re-released the album in 2009 are set to do so again next month. And again ten years after that if, in their words, "the demand, in any form, is still there."
